Hello, and welcome to my profile!

I am currently employed as a Librarian I Technical Specialist with the Mesa Public Library in Mesa, Arizona. I earned a Master of Library and Information Science in the University of Washington Information School in March, 2013.

As a Library Assistant I provide reader’s advisory, circulation, and reference at the adult fiction and youth services desks.

There was no single moment that led me to library and information science, rather it was a series of personal revelations. I love community. Wherever I am, I feel compelled to be engaged and involved. The inner operations of my workplace and the local government fascinate me, and I appreciate the long-term vision local leadership is pursuing. I love technology, and I want a career in which I can put my skills to good use. I love learning, and above all, I love sharing what I know. Librarianship is a field in which I am surrounded by like minded people, joined in mutual pursuit for order, connection, and information. These things taken together and put to use empowering library patrons are the motivation for my career in librarianship.
